The Ravens Dates: 2007 - Present Band Members: Alan "Cousy" Moch, Bismarck (percussion and drums), Duke Rosendahl, Hazen (lead guitar/rhythm - vocals), Harvey Jahner, Linton (bass guitar - vocals), Ronnie Weber, Bismarck (lead guitar/bass guitar - vocals) Allan Bosch, Bismarck (lead guitar), Keith Grotewold, Bismarck (drums and percussion), Phil Feser, Stringbean Inc., Bismarck (sound and light technician), and William "Billy" Rambough, Bismarck (AV/Photographer technician). Genre: 1950's and 60's rock The Bob Seger song recorded a few years back called Turn the Page continues
for the RaVens. “Here I am on the road again; there I am up on
the stage. Here I go playin' star again; there I go, turn the page”.
There have been a few changes in the band since the end of 2007: Alan
“Cousy” Moch retired from the band due to serious health
issues and was replaced by long time area drummer Keith Grotewold. Moch
made progress in healing his body and then re-joined the band as percussionist
in 2009. He currently shares some of the drumming with Grotewold. Mel
Bauer, one of the original founding members and long time collaborator
of the late Ray Renz (the band's founder) retired at the end of 2007.
Les Kautz, the band's 1980's "singing sound tech" who later
came on stage to sing and play rhythm guitar, retired from the band
in mid 2007 due to serious health issues. Jeremy Kautz, the band's sound
tech in 2005, was replaced by a professional contractor, Phil Feser,
Stringbean Music Co., Bismarck ND. And, finally, Wm “Billy”
Rambough, Bismarck ND was added as the groups audio/video/photographer
and historian. AND NOW, The RaVens have recorded their second of two
CD’s: “Cruisin” in 2007 and “Paradise”
in 2009. So, “here we go again, up on the stage, playin' star
again, turn the page”.
