RICHARD TORRANCE TRIO BIOGRAPHY

When requested, Richard has two musicians he prefers to play engagements with that expand his ability to entertain and present his music. These musicians are Rick Berge on bass, and Wes Schmidt on drums.

Rick Berge is the owner of Nightlife Music in Bismarck. He has been a resident of Bismarck all his life and has served, not only as a reputable agent, but also as one of the most sought after bass players in the area. His own band, Nightlife, has played in the tri-state area for years and has always delivered high quality, professional entertainment.

Wes Schmidt has been the drummer with Nightlife for over three years. He has also worked with Ron and Lori Turner’s band, ZuZu, as well as subbing for several other local bands. He is a very talented, professional drummer being able to play several styles and has the ability to play any event, no matter how large or small.

Richard has played in almost every band in the Bismarck area, either subbing for a guitarist or being on the same bill. He has gained the respect of all the local talent and could call on any number of players to perform with him. His fourteen years of experience in Las Vegas gave him the knowledge to be able to cover any event he accepts to perform. Together as a trio, Richard, Rick and Wes are a very versatile band and can play everything from Jimmy Buffett to Carlos Santana.
