Families and friends gathered last night to see some of America’s finest get the best possible reward for their service, the chance to come home "We’re just overjoyed to have him back in back in the country was the main thing so knowing that he’s on safe ground things can get back to normal," said Stephanie Entzel, a wife of a returning soldier. For some of them, this will be the first time back together as a family for quite some time. "Tonight we bring our whole family home it’s been about four years three of us have been deployed," said Daniel Job, Command Sergeant Major JFH. "My son-in-law, my son we’re all very happy and can’t wait it’s been a long time." The mission has been dangerous, but fulfilling. "We got to see exactly what we did and what we accomplished the entire year that we were there so we can’t look back on it and have no regrets about what we did," said Jordan Reisenauer, a specialist with the 188th ADA. And what they endured makes them appreciate what they have at home. "He mentioned right away that when he got off the plane, he couldn’t believe how good the air smelled," said Terri Camp, a mother of a returning soldier. "Those things we take for granted that our air is clean." And above all, the families say we live in a safer world because of the sacrifices of our men and women in uniform. This was the last group of soldiers to come home. During the last few days, more North Dakota Troops have been mobilized to continue the mission overseas. |
